Pancakes make up for a great breakfast option. Often parents avoid incorporating pancakes in the daily diet because of the ingredients going into it, making it unhealthy.
However, they largely provide for the carbohydrates that are used by the body as the primary source of fuels. While including pancakes as a regular food option might not be a great idea, yet you can surely make it healthier by trying out some alternate pancake recipes, such as eggless pancakes with fruits are great to introduce some generally under-consumed, but very important nutrients. This yummy snack can be introduced at 18 months of age, as an occasional treat.
1. Mix the flour, milk, sugar, baking powder and soda in a bowl and let it sit for half an hour.
2. Heat the pan on low flame and smear it with some butter.
3. Now put a dollop of the pancake mix in the pan.
4. Flip this on both sides and continue till they’re golden.
5. Serve with maple syrup, honey, Nutella or strawberry compote.
