Chalk Painting

With Holi being right around the corner, we tried to do something new that would be full of fun and quite colorful. We planned to use chalks and prepare a holi message through this activity. We call it chalk painting.

What You Need:

  • White blank paper(s)
  • Water
  • Sponge/Brush
  • Scissors
  • Colored Chalks
  • Glitter

Step 1

Take a blank sheet of paper and write your message. We wrote Happy Holi. Cut the template of the message with scissors.

Step 2

Use another white blank paper and wet it with a sponge or brush and stick the Happy Holi cut out on it.

Step 3

Grate some chalk all over the paper and sprinkle some glitter to make it more colorful.

Step 4

Pull the message out of the paper.

Step 5

Use color pens to write it in the paper. This area would not be covered with chalk and glitter.

Viola! Your chalk painting is ready!

While doing this activity you would see that the chalk dust does not fall out of the paper due to the use of water used in this.

A simple and fun activity that the kids would absolutely love to do. Once they create this, let your kids spread the joy of wishing happy holi to everyone.
