Here’s an exciting and creative keyboard book by Sam Taplin.
Who doesn’t love a colorful mini keyboard? Now combine this with a colorful little book, and watch the magic unfold!
I, for one, have always been interested in musical books. For this reason, I couldn’t wait to get one of those for the kids. I did my bit of researching and discovered Usborne books. Browsing through their collection, I finally decided to pick My First Keyboard Book.
This book comes with colorful, popular kid’s rhymes and songs along with a mini keyboard to try them out. It has an on/off switch at the back.
There are a bunch of different songs to choose from, that are very easy to follow. The keyboard has colored dots on every white note. The song sheet has the color code to follow in order to play it. The keyboard is very smooth, and it’s quite fun.
Trying new musical instruments can be challenging for any person. When the kids are still learning and discovering the world around them, it can be fruitful to introduce them to engaging, little musical activities, as kids respond to them very well. Even babies respond to songs with significant enthusiasm, as evident from those tiny giggles and glittering eyes everytime they hear a nice tune.
My First Keyboard Book aims to combine elements of reading, rhymes, and music all together. This makes it a great book for younger kids when you decide to encourage them towards identifying and creating tunes. Their response will amuse you.
You can also get creative with this book and teach them the basics of colors. Since the book itself is so aesthetically well defined, this can be a great opportunity to easily catch the attention of the younger ones and increase their sensitivity towards the intricate yet beautiful world of colors. This is important for sensory development and it will also lay a good foundation for their preschool years.
Once the kids try this little keyboard a couple of times, they’ll be able to find their way easily through different songs, from the book. This will also make them musically more aware and will definitely help discover and nurture their skills.
I recommend this book for how particular it is with the skills it aims to develop and nurture and combines it with a lot of fun!
