Bats are some common nocturnal animals, often spotted in and around parks during nighttime.
These interesting creatures use ‘echolocation’ to move around in the dark!
Here’s an easy craft to make discussions around nocturnal animals a bit more fun!
What you need:
– A black sheet
– Clothes peg
– Scissors
– Cellophane tape
Steps:
1. Cut out some small wings from the black sheet and attach it to any surface of the clothes peg.
2. Take another strip of paper and attach it to the other surface of the clothes peg
As you press the peg the bat wings will appear to flutter!
This activity will help open doors to educational conversations and is great for developing early motor skills too.
Let the bat wings flutter away!
