Why do you need to look home decor somewhere when you can make one? Let your hands and mind get creativity out. We thought of making some decor this winter season and we never knew we would end up making these beautiful Winter Lanterns, and now these are hanging and adoring a little corner space in our garden.

Let us grab everything we would need for this activity and let’s get started? Explore your surroundings abs let’s get some beautiful flowers and leaves.

What you would need:

Balloon

Some flowers and leaves from the park that you collected while running with your kids.

Fevicryl Glue

Paintbrushes

Small bowl (for mixing)

White crepe paper

Let us dig a little deeper and start with it.

Method:

Mix glue and water in the bowl using paint brushes

Blow air in the balloon and tie a knot in it.

Using the paintbrush stick the white crepe paper onto your balloon making sure each part of the balloon is covered.

Let it dry until the paper is stiff enough

Once it is dry, put your leaves and flowers on the balloon one by one, and then using another sheet of crepe paper stick them to the first layer with glue.

Let this layer also be left to dry once you have used as many leaves and flowers as your want.

Poke the balloon with a small pin and after it deflates cut a hole into the top of the lantern and take the balloon out.

Cut two holes into the lantern and attach hooks into them so the lantern can be hung from a ceiling or wall

Drop some fairy lights into the lantern and enjoy!

Voila! You have and stunning lantern at your home which you created. Add your creative ideas too and see what all new items you can come up with for home decors.
