Cardboard Spinners

Who said you need massive, elaborate toys to get your children to appreciate them? How about a craft toy that is incredibly fun to make and all the more fun to play with?

These cardboard spinners will have your kids hooked on for hours at a stretch!

What you need:

      –  cardboard/ cardboard carton

      –  Scissors

      –  String

      –  A plain white paper

      –  glue

      –  Paint/ colorful paper strips/ colorful tape

Steps:

1. Cut out some circles out of cartons, or the cardboard. Cut out a white sheet into 2 circles of the same size, and glue them onto either side of the cardboard circle.

2. Take some colorful paper strips or  tape and stick them onto either side of the circle to make a pattern. You could even ask the children to draw these patterns and fill in some colors.

3. Now make a hole at the center of the cardboard circle and draw a string out of it.

The cardboard circle is ready to take its first spin! All you need to do is hold either end of the string as tight as possible!

As the circle will spin, it’ll create some beautiful patterns and immediately grab the attention of your tiny tots!

This cool, easy to make spinner will help the children realise that they can make their own toys and it is certainly just as fun as any store-bought toy. Let’s get the little explorers to get in touch with their creative side!
