“Life is like a fidget spinner, it spins the way you want to spin it. But oh! don’t you let it stop spinning.”
These fidget spinners are super easy to make and can be easily turned into an educational activity!
What you need:
• Bottle caps
• Small coins for the better spin
• A paper clip, and
• Empty pen refills
Steps:
Steps 1. Take a bottle cap and make a hole in the middle.
Step 2. Cut a small piece of a pen refill and pass an unwound paper clip through it. Keep either ends of the clip perpendicular to the middle portion.
Step 3. Pass this piece of refill through the bottle cap and attach 2 more bottle caps on either ends of the first one, so they sit on the perpendicular ends of the paper clip.
Step 4. Now attach 3 more bottle caps on sides of the first one to resemble a fidget spinner.
Step 5. Glue some coins underneath these bottle caps so the spin is smoother.
There you go! Your fidget spinner is ready. Discuss with your kids the science of spinning, and application of external forces. Hope you’re ready for a ton of fun and a whole lot of questions!
