Fighting is a form of aggressive behavior, and that holds even for babies and toddlers. After birth, babies communicate through crying or screaming when there’s
Thank you all who have been following us and for sticking by. I can’t believe it’s been a year today since I started this blog.
Clinginess is a ubiquitous behavior in toddlers, preschoolers, and kindergarteners. Does your child cry as soon as you tell them you are going out for
My 5-year-old son studies in a co-ed school, and like all kids, they play with boys and girls alike. Most boys are little rough in
One of the greatest gifts you can give your child every day is reiterating that their feelings are valid. Being a parent is an overwhelming unpaid job. It is something that all of us strive to accomplish with perfection, yet fail miserably at times and then try again and again. Sometimes, in between all this, we get tired – both physically and emotionally.
Sometimes you will never know the value of a moment until it becomes a memory and to create such memories, we travel. We travel with children to improve our bond as a family, we travel with them to understand them better, we travel with them to know how much we can withstand the tantrums and how to improve us, we travel to teach them different is good and adventures are exciting. When you travel with them you teach them to adapt to difficult situations, you give them exposure, experience and a new way of life. But sometimes amidst this beauty of travelling with kids you also meet unwanted people and experience things you wouldn’t want your child to see. But well as we say, it’s all a learning curve and to teach them to deal with bad is more important that to show them that the world is always good and rosy.
It may seem odd, but most children hit because they are afraid. Children, especially toddlers, are still learning about emotions their own and also of the people around them. Mostly they cry, scream, or hit or bite when they can not communicate their feelings of fear, and they do not know of any other way to communicate. When arms swing the first time to hit they don’t know what they just did and then it happens again and again.
We live in a country where no one wants to even think about a disorder when it comes to their kids until things get completely out of hand. No one even wants to read up about it and it’s almost a taboo talking about disorders in children. I am no expert at this but I love to read to keep myself informed of things that happen or could happen to anyone and today I would like to talk to you about ADHD.
What is empathy? Empathy is the ability to understand and share feelings. Empathy is also the capacity to feel what the other person is feeling by trying to place yourself in their shoes. Compassion and sympathy together make empathy.
