Colored Salt – Sensory Play

Today we are going to do a sensory play with colored salt and how the kids can just jump up with excitement doing this simple activity. This activity is amazing to practice patterns, alphabets and numbers and is super easy to make and gets ready in just 5 minutes.

What You Need:

  • Small Bottles
  • Funnels
  • Spoon
  • Colored Salt

Step 1

Pour some fine salt into the bowl, container or zip-lock.

Step 2

Add a few drops of food coloring to it.

Step 3

Shake and mix both ingredients well together. Leave it for 10 minutes for the mix to be dry.

Step 4

Take a bottle and put the funnel in the mouth of the bottle.

Step 5

Take the spoon and start adding different colored salts to the small bottles.

Viola! Your colored salt – sensory play is all set and ready. The kids would have a great time doing the activity with so much fun and be really amused by the little things. It was a great hit with my kids and hope your kids, too will have as much fun as my kids did.
