Learning about nocturnal creatures can be super fun and there are so many ways to explore their magical world!
Fireflies are tiny fascinating creatures that glow using bioluminescence during twilight!
Now you can make your own fireflies with regular art supplies!
What you need:
– Salt dough (1/4th cup salt, 1/4 cup flour and water)
– Transparent sheet
– Black and yellow paint
– Glow paint
– Glue
Steps
1. Shape the salt dough in a way it resembles a firefly. Bake these in the oven so they harden.
2. Paint the fireflies and attach wings cut out from the transparent sheet. Paint the lower body of the fireflies with glow paint.
Turn off the lights and watch your little fireflies glow!
This is a fun activity to introduce your kids to the world of nocturnal animals and also sensitize them about their environment!
