Hedgehogs In A Forest

Nocturnal animals are indeed fascinating. Hedgehogs stay in hiding during daytime and come out in the dark. As small as they are, they have spikes that keep all the predators away!

Here’s a fun activity to build your own little forest with some tiny hedgehogs!

What you need:

– Clay

– Small pine cones

– Some googly eyes

– Twigs

– A box

– Black and white paint

– Glue

Steps:

  1. Use some brown clay and attach it to the pine cone. Shape it in a way that it resembles the face of a hedgehog
  1. Now attach the googly eyes and a tiny nose using some black clay
  1. Take a box and paint it black from the inside. Paint some trees on it using white paint. Glue on some more googly eyes on the box to obtain a night setting in a forest. Now glue some twigs in the forest and place the hedgehogs to complete the craft.

There you go! Your very own forest with hedgehogs is ready to grace your room!

Turn this into an educational activity by discussing all about this unique nocturnal animal!
