Balloon Popping Experiment

Spinning Penny Experiment

We all have read Newton’s First Law of Movement which states, ‘if something is moving or stationary, it will stay that way unless something disturbed the system’. Today we thought of showing the kids of how this actually works and have come up with this new and exciting science experiment called ‘the spinning penny experiment’.

What You Need:

  • Balloon
  • Penny

Step 1

Blow a balloon with a penny inside it.

Step 2

Now spin the balloon until the coin starts spinning in a steady circular motion

Step 3

Stop moving your hand and the balloon will keep moving.

I am sure the kids would be really excited once they see the end result. It would be something new and an exciting element for them to learn which they would remember for life.

Understanding some laws of science is never too hard. Science is just another way where it demonstrates everything we see in nature with a logical outlook.
