Lotus is a symbol of spiritual enlightenment and strength.
This inspired us to try some festive lotus craft ideas out of recycled materials!
What you need:
- A paper plate
- Toilet paper rolls
- Green sheet of paper
- Paints and glitter
- Marker
- Glue
- Scissors
Steps:
- 1.Paint and add some glitter to the plate to resemble a small pond.
- 2.Take 2 toilet paper rolls and paint them in different colors. Now cut them into equal parts to obtain circular bands.
- 3.Cut the green sheet in the shape of lotus leaves and glue them on the plate. You can draw lines on them similar to those on leaves.
- 4.Cut each of the circular bands obtained from one of the rolls and bend their edges to resemble some fishes.
- 5.Glue the circular bands on the leaves in a way that they look like lotus petals. Glue the fishes on the plate.
This fun decoration certainly adorned our house during the festive season and the kids were really happy with their little creation!
