Pebbles Pattern

This time, we thought to do an activity which the toddlers would surely love to do. This activity requires no setup time and is super easy to do. This time we are going to make various patterns with pebbles and hence, the activity is called ‘Pebbles Patterns’.

What You Need:

  • Pebbles
  • Paper
  • Pen/Pencil
  • Stickers
  • Sticks

Step 1

Take a paper and make patterns on it with a pen/pencil.

Step 2

Let your kids replicate those patterns with pebbles, stickers, stics or anything that you have handy.

Viola! Your pebbles patterns are ready. It is so much fun for the kids and all they have to do is simply recreate the patterns that are there with pebbles. For the younger kids, parents can go for simple patterns whereas for the elder ones, they can draw complex patterns.

With a simple activity, kids can be occupied for a longer period of time, understanding and bringing out their creative side on paper with the help of pebbles.

Patterns lay the foundation for basic math skills and picking up helps develop fine motor skills, counting, sorting skills and helps in better recognising patterns.

Disclaimer: This activity requires adult supervision as loose parts are involved.
