While shopping for the kids, I came across Gelli Baff and was absolutely impressed with their ideas of making bathtime fun for the little ones.
Since their products are great for sensory play we included it in our Valentine’s play.
What stands out for the kids is that how Gelli Baff goes from being powdery to becoming extremely fluffy.
The science working behind it is that the powder has super absorbent polymers that mix well with water and become super fluffy. Whats more?
They also come with a white salt that needs to sprayed on the baff to turn it back into liquid!
It’s goey, it’s slimy. It’s one fun sensory play.
Sensory play is essential for proper brain development as it helps in sensory processing capabilities.
As children are required to use more of their senses in this play, such as, sense of sight and touch, they retain the information they gathered from the playtime experience.
Play ideas that incorporate sensory stimulation are great for the formative years of a child’s life as this is the time when maximum brain development takes place.
For using Gelli Baff for a valentine’s sensory play you can add some rose petals and glitter in the water before adding the Gelli Baff. Let the kids feel the texture of the baff as well as let them ask questions about the science behind it!
